Behind the assessment

Money psychology, without the moral grade.

Money Type is an independent educational product created and operated by Jaden Kwek. It helps people notice the behavioral and emotional patterns that ordinary money advice often misses.

Who

Built by a small, accountable team.

Jaden Kwek is the creator and operator of Money Type. The public framework, scoring rules, product decisions, and claims published on this site are maintained under the Money Type name.

We do not present Money Type as a clinical diagnosis or a substitute for a financial professional. The assessment is a behavioral mirror: useful for reflection, specific enough to act on, and honest about what it has not yet proven.

How

Research-grounded, independently designed.

The five-pillar system is Money Type's own framework. Its ingredients map to established research areas including financial-management behavior, financial anxiety, family financial socialization, money beliefs, and decision-making under scarcity.

The 50 questions use concrete situations and value-neutral wording where possible. Items are interleaved and directionally mixed to reduce pattern tapping and obvious "good answer" guessing. The full scoring method, current limitations, and research references are public on the methodology page.

AI use

A tool in the process, not a credential.

AI assists with drafting and produces paid reports from a customer's questionnaire responses. It does not make the assessment clinically validated, and its output can contain mistakes. Product rules, published claims, limitations, and the experience around that output remain our responsibility.

Paid report answers are processed only to build the report and are deleted after a successful generation. The finished report is retained so the buyer can access it again. The full data policy is in our privacy notice.

Standards

What we owe the reader.

No fake certainty

Estimates are labeled as estimates. Early-stage psychometric limits stay visible.

No shame as a sales tactic

A lower score describes a system under strain, not a worse person.

Commercial clarity

The assessment and public type library are free. Personalized reports and workbooks are paid products.
